Anyone out there know what OTHER parts are required to replace the steel spring in my phantom 500 with a gas ram from a nitro venom?I might as well put this spare ram to good use.thanks.

:D Yes, Chevota is quite generous on details, he sure knows his thing!
I suggest you try your Nitro Venom's piston in the Phantom's tube, that may save you from having to adapt the spring piston for nitro ram usage; just make sure the sear engage in the piston's notch correctly, and that the nitro ram doesn't bottom out. Also the procedure of re-drilling a hole in the butt cup is easier if you use a self-centering punch to locate the new hole for the stock bolt.

Don't hesitate to ask for infos and good luck with the conversion. And don't forget the pix, or it never happened :mrgreen: .

Scopes and Ammo has a kit . I used it in mine and it works great.
