Hello my names colin im from calgary alberta and currently have 5 air guns and have been enjoying the hobby since I was a young child.
I have a tuned crosman phantom with a recrowned barrel and a home done trigger job hasnt helped much lol 492h 487l es of 5 fps
1 ruger explorer for my daughter tuned to 470 fps with crosman ultra magnum domed pellets 10.9g but shoots 490 on the dot with the standard crosman 7.9 g hollow points
Old beat up crosman 760 pumper from years ago lol.
1 crosman 1077 with a soda straw barrel glass bedded with jb weld
1 1088 air pistol
I am joining this forum in hopes of expanding my knowledge and colletion of air rifles and to meet some fellow alberta air gunners. I currently do not have my pal as I do not feel comfortable with high power air arms in my house untill my oldest is 10 or so and can truely understand and appreciate the power these wepons can hold and the responsibility it take to posses one that can cause serious harm if not handled properly.
I do hunt for small game squirl, pest birds and gophers ect to the limit of a sub 500 fps rifle with proper care taken for vital shots to around 35 yards.
I have a strong family heritage in hunting and being an outdoorsmen tho I am quite young at 24.

Sorry if my introduction was long but I like to be very clear lol.
Again I hope im welcome and I hope you all may be patient in the future with my possibly dumbfounded questions.

Hi Colin
Welcome to the forum. I'm in Airdrie and you'll find quite a few of us not too far away. You will also find an incredible amount of knowledge on this forum.
This forum is very friendly so ask away, I'm sure you will get several answers.

Welcome Colin. Do consider catching up and joining in with one of our AIR FT shoots. Lots of knowledge to be had at the shoots.

Yes I was looking into that last night I was wondering what the average shooting distance is and target size and fpe needed to knock em down I know at 50 yrds I have about 3.5 mabey 4 fpe left and a whole lotta drop at that range almost more than I have mil dots lol with a 30 yard zero I have to hold over on my 4th mil dot on my 6x and 3 harsh marks on my 4x on thensame gun I can hit cans consistantly at that range but I dont know if I can hit a 1" kill zone at that range  .
