@Gerard, that sounds like a nice project!

Yeah, the S200 would probably be a decent option. It's here for $700:

Multi-shot magazine upgrade is here for $70:

Looks like Dan doesn't have the AT-44 10 .22 in stock at the moment, but he seems to get new shipments pretty regularly. You can always PM him here, his username is "sniper".

Thanks for all the recommendations, I've got to make some decisions now..
What would be a suitable scope, rings etc. I could probably spend 200-250 on a scope for now possibly a little more.
I've read that people seem to like the Hill pumps, would a cheaper Benjamin or other brand work equally well?
Cheers

I would avoid using the Benjamin pump, haven't heard the best things about it. Lots of options out there. Gerard seems to like his Air Venturi pump, and I've been quite happy with my Hatsan pump.

The Hill pump is excellent, but a bit heavy. If weight is a non-issue, then you can't go wrong.

For a scope in that price range, here's an option:

If you don't mind going with a front focus, rather than side focus:

Excellent value on this Bushnell. Very good optics for cheap.

Just a small correction; I've never seen an Air Venturi pump much less used one. I have a Gehmann FX pump, and indeed i do like it. Used it about 4 years now and the only maintenance so far was wiping down the main shaft and adding a few drops of silicone oil and a finger full of molybdenum disulphide grease (Bisley's gun grease) as it was getting a bit dry, and taking out the fill adapter a couple of times to wipe and re-grease with O-ring grease. Thing works great. Just have to vent it before disconnecting, to avoid internal moisture build-up. Unlike the Hill pumps the FX has no moisture trap. I'll be ordering the heavy duty stainless steel hose for it eventually, from BestFittings, just in case the ordinary plastic hose I got from them ever wears out.

I had a Hill pump for a short while, older Mk2 model, and it worked really well. A bit less effort than the FX. But it was bulky and heavy and since i don't drive that can be an issue now and then, so I sold it through the forum with a BF heavy duty hose.

Thanks again gents! Lots of great tips :) I'm leaning more towards the side focus scope, seems to be easier. I've got a regular front focus on my rimfire and I can see the benefit of having on the side instead.

Do any of you guys meet up to shoot besides the last Sunday every month?
Is it ok to shoot air rifles on the 3d range if there are no archers there?

I would let deb know, don't staple targets to archery butts, bring your own targets instead.
So far they have allowed a few of us to use the range ,outside of. Last Sunday..kelly

Perfect! I'll make sure I tell her. Just seems nicer to shoot air rifles down there than up on the rifle range.

Wishing you guys a sunny and warm day tomorrow.
It is beautifully sunny in Victoria, but only 2 degrees at our home!
Somebody take a post some pictures! We never seem to have any pictures and all have a great time!

I will see you all at the February shoot!
