I have a Williams peep sight on my Benjamin Sheridan 397P and maybe because I wear progressive eyeglasses, I'm having a really hard time seeing where the front blade sight really aligns with my target. The front sight is part of the barrel and cannot be removed, but does anyone know if there's a way to make it more visible? Could a fibre optic "strand' perhaps be epoxied on top of the blade sight? (I don't even know if I could buy a piece of fibre optic (cable?) anywhere.

Any suggestions?

A lady on another forum came up with a fix, consisting of painting the tip of the front sight: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/ind ... c=100989.0

There are also replacement fibre optic rods that could probably be used for a custom setup. Found some on Amazon.ca, but the price is ridiculously high:

Here are two other places in the US that sells them, for a better price I think, even with the exchange rate:

Good luck!

Almost definitely. You can pick up coloured fiber optic strand from any halfways respectable archery supply outfit. At least that's where I've picked up some in the past, for exactly the same purpose. . .
Documented Here

Good Luck!

I used the wrong link in my last post; here is the correct one. . . .

Me neither, but I'd heard that the local archery shop was looking to blow out some NOS air rifle and pistols, which led me to perusing the entire shop/store. . .
He had a Fiber Optic Bow sight on the bench, that he was doing some sort of service to, which led me to enquire if FO material was available. . . .
He asked me "what size and what colour?" For a couple bucks, I picked up an assortment of sizes and colours, and have used it for sight repair and improvement on several different guns over the years. . . .

Really wish I could shoot better over opens. . . . :(
