I'll see you guys in less than a week.

It does look like we are going to be under the shed again. According to the weather report it will be raining until nex week and then some.

Oh, I'll bring my little heating buddy bottle as long there is no snow on top of the shed's roof

Shooting under the shed is better than no shooting at all! See you guys there.

Double Duty! :P

If you are a MDGRC member, there are going to be several of us in both disciplines.
Silhouette @ 9am till 11'ish. Then FT for the rest of the day.
Why not try to introduce others to Silhouette if they have a 22lr. (Standard Velocity recommended)
Its quite challenging and a load of fun. Still trying to learn how to set my yardage turret clicks

Hope to remember to bring my gumboots this time. Soaked my socks last month.
See ya all out there Rain or Shine.

MM

Despite dire predictions of rain in Mission from every weather service, we had a dry morning and early afternoon. No significant dripping from the high clouds until around 2pm or a bit later, leaving plenty of time for a couple of rounds of the FT course plus a lot of fun plinking/zeroing time. Some decent shooting going on too! I managed only a 34/40 in my first round but put a couple of the 1 point hits down to being new to the 2260, only having slapped it together with a scope for the first time a few days ago with just some preliminary sighting in at 6.5m at home. But a few clicks here and there and I was hitting the furthest plinking target - a plastic rectangular spinner 3"x4" at 67 metres.

Weirdest moment of the day was when a big black dog came running across the steep slope at the back of the range, grabbed a stick or something, then ran back up and across and into the woods. Okaaaaaay....

My son is settling in a bit with his Baikal 61, learning to shoot it from a stool resting elbows on legs rather than having to rest the rifle on the stool. He'll get there. Scored a 14/40 in the first run, but got a bit too chilly to focus on shooting the second time around.

Yeah, well, having to drive a bazillion miles to get there qualifies as a decent excuse. Good to see you in one piece and shooting, no muscles dangling off you or anything.
