Started out with an old striker junior(495fps) ended up blowing out the spring so i had saved the barrel, i took apart my old crossman vigilante( can be put back together with one bolt). Will a little modding of the break barrels swing arms i got the 2 guns together and they work perfectly so here it is.

I made an arm out of an old bracket that grabs the latch and pulls the barrel to the co2 exit port

I dont own a crony so i have no idea if its increased or decreased the fps. By the sound of it, its got a better seal than the vigilantes rotary clip and stock barrel. So my guess is its a bit more but not by much.

...yeah, a bit of a touchy subject. Interesting project, but you really should get a Chrony to be sure the mods you do stays legal. Just adding an 8'' barrel on that pistol already raise sensibly the fps, and the barrel you're using is what, about 14''-16'' in length? Just FYI:

Please take that as a friendly info :) .

Looks very nice - but I also would be a bit concerned that it might go over our 500 fps limit for an air pistol here in Canada.

Don't want to get into any trouble with the RCMP over your nice mod job.

BTW - is it now only a single shot pistol?

Not unless you have an R-PAL and only want to shoot it at an approved gun range...

:(

The thing is that over 500 fps, it becomes a restricted firearm to the eyes of the law. It's a hand gun, so you would need a RPAL to own and use it. Being informed is always a good thing  :)

Yeah im aware of most non restricted laws not so much with restricted i thought it was that you just cant use them to hunt. But good to know restricted and non restricted course bundle is only 275 so i might as well do both. Until then i think i keep this thing apart until i can get it under a crony thanks for the info everyone

Very very smart of you.

And of course if it shoots under 500 fps - you will have yourself a powerful and accurate air pistol...

Just keep in mind, if our new government brings back the requirement to obtain transfer permits for separate transportation incidents, you're going to have to register your 501+ handgun with them in order to get transport approvals. Good luck with that.

Also remember that just because you have an R-PAL, it doesn't mean you can shoot your custom RPAL-rated gun anywhere you please. As Doug mentioned, you would have to become a member of an approved range, and you are only allowed to shoot it there, or at other approved ranges (for the time being anyway).

BTW, for some reason I just found your mod pic the biggest hoot I've had in a long time (really, no offence intended-I'm an old phart). The visual appearance of a mod that slaps a springer rifle on the front end of a revolver is just priceless! Good luck with your mods.
