Has anyone tried this? Im getting my hands on one next saturday and was thinking of converting it....has it been done before and if so, what is the best gas piston to use?

Not possible to gas ram the salvia rifles due to the sear engaging a rod in the centre of the piston. Give it a good tune with a buttoned piston and you'll never be able to tell there was a spring in it.
