I never taken apart a 2240 or I have and totally forgot. But taken many 1377 apart so know how they go. Just 2 quick questions that I need some answers.

On the 2240 maintube I got the screw head will drop thru the hole ( yes I aligned the transfer port ) and recess into the maintube. But the valve is loose and rattles but wont go forward or back anymore than the difference between the hole and screw head.

Is this normal? or is the whole point of the screw is just act like a stop? Or does it tighten up once the transport port, barrel and breach gets installed?

is it also normal to slide the valve down the maintube without the need of a dowel? I know the 1377 you need to ram rod the valve in the maintube.. It slid down like a c02 canister in the tube.

Thanks
Happy Plinking.

Hi
Yes the screw is basically a stop and keeps the valve in place. The bit of play you get is normal. Once the cartridge is tightened into place it keeps the valve from moving
