Sorry folks but its been a while for me to post on here, but sometimes life gets too hectic.

I have been very busy since I last posted and fully upgraded my shop to include a mill and lathe.
I have had a steady flow of airguns and powder guns coming through since I last posted.
Lots of new and old guns, the newest being a Daystate pcp that had a jamming problem, the oldest being a pair Webley junior pistols in .177 and .22
Many in between including telly's and older model 6 Diana pistol. I also got into making some wood grips and custom carbine stocks for myself.
Been a busy guy, but having a wonderful time,
tons of old powder guns, but this is off topic so I will stay away from it here.
Most of this work has been of no charge to the owners, with the exception of materials parts etc. Just for my pleasure and learning growth.
I have only recently started charging, .but only a small amount to cover some supplies and tools
I have had some real good success in getting these guns working as they should or better.
Lots of trial and tribulations and I didn't break anything yet!
I am finding the multi pumps he more challenging of the lot, but I have got them down now, my last venture was a Crossman magnum2200 that was in pristine condition outside, but a bucket of sludge inside, most of the seals were purchasable but the pin with integrated seal inside the valve was not, I tried everything but no luck, finally just made the whole thing using stainless rod and uhmw, this was successful. this gun feels kind of flimsy, but really packed a punch and was surprisingly accurate.
I would say I am officially into it, if I didn't have a full time job already, I could probably fill my time doing this. That's part of my retirement plan anyway :)
A recent addition to my pile of hats at my work is a woodshop! we work with torrefied maple which makes for beautiful grips and stocks.

This hard maple turns a beautiful classic red with great grain when torrefied, It also becomes very stable and only needs light oiling to be weatherproof.

So going forward I will do a better job monitoring this forum and hopefully can contribute to the group as well.

Welcome back to the CAF!

We can always use more repairmen and tuners - perhaps some more detailed info as to how to contact you might be appropriate for those members here who might have some air gun work for you.

:D

Hi,
Anyone who may be interested in contacting me, the best way is email
r.kelland@yahoo.com
I will respond the same day.
As for more pics, I have one of a partially completed stock and I just took some more.
The work was done with a combination of wood working and metal working tools.
The precision inside features done with a mill, and rough work done with band saw, jigsaw, table saw with dado blade, belt sander.
Then lots of hand sanding for the handgrip to make it perfect for me, I also pressed threaded inserts that I made on my lathe into the frame to ensure the brass screws secured solidly.
Three pics, I will send another post for two more.
Regards,
