I put a velocity adjuster on my 2240 And screwed it in to far which caused the valve pin to stick in the co2 and not let the co2 come out, was like that a few days as I was busy.
I just fixed it and got a leak.
Would the leak be at the valve end of co2 or the transfer port.
I did not change o rings at ether place, but will do that next to see if it will stop the leak.
It was a big leak, let all the co2 put quick.
Just learning about there and tearing them apart.
The transfer port is the one thing that seems to be a poor desing to cause a leakwayne

is it leaking out the barrel or the end cap or breach area...
if its out the barrel its probably your valve stem seal...
if its out the end cap or the breach then its your end seal or your valve O-ring...
because its dumping all the co2 out very quick im guessing its your valve end seal were your co2 makes contact with the valve...

Been there and done that.

Ace has the perfect answer.

You will know your 2240 inside and out when your done.

As for the transfer port seal, the only thing that'll do if it's leaking is dump a bit of the air with each shot, slowing your pellet down due to lack of full pressure. A transfer port seal could be completely missing and it still wouldn't cause a CO2 bulb to dump down to no pressure, just make for a lot of really weak shots.

Hello Wayne. sometimes the hammer adjuster makes the spring a tiny bit more powerful than the valve spring, and wont allow the valve stem to seal because the hammer is pushing on the stem. The balance between the spring, inside, the valve and the hammer spring, is a popular game most 2240 owners play, trying to get the most out of gun.

Got the 2240 fixed, was a bit of brass dirt in the valve. Went to Joe Hickey this morning and he fixed it for me.
Thanks again Joe and have fun this weekend  , remember what advice I gave you.

Nice! Gotta love the 2240. Such a near-infinitely modifiable pistol. And with even modest machining skills it's not hard to make new parts for almost anything that breaks, or at least fit new parts available online and modify them as wanted. Of course they REALLY get addictive if you get into HPA... but if CO2's working for you that's perfect.
