Hello all, anybody bought a air pistol from USA at Pyramydair, Ohio USA ? Do we have to pay custom fee, import taxes, etc, if one buy a legal air pistol from USA ? At the custom, wil they confiscate the legal (450 fps) air pistol ?
I live this forum, i'm new to this & learning a lot...
Thank you all in advance
Rejean, Montreal

Salut Rejean!

If the air pistol is not PAL rated, it should come straight through... and like any goods coming into Canada, you should (might) get charged GST/PST/applicable duty. (and some crazy extra charges if shipped by UPS  )

Personally, when importing firearms parts/accessories (or anything that might be questioned by custom agents) from the US (or EU), I always get an import permit prior to placing my order, and ask the seller to include it with the packing slip... It's free of charge and only takes a few minutes to request.

Pyramid Air marks all air guns it will ship to Canada with a "Ships to Canada" banner. They will not ship anything they have not had pre-approved by Canadian Customs. They also calculate exchange, postage, brokerage and duty costs for you; you should not have to pay any more than what Pyramid bills you.

I've been through their checkout process a few times and while it is nicely done and complete, I have always found I may as well get the order from within Ca (assumes it is for something you can already get here of course).

Yeah I almost bought a few orders from there... after the shipping, tax, fees, exchange rate are all calculated suddenly you realize its significantly MORE expensive not less... and will take longer to get to you.

Not totally true about savings from Pyramyd, if you buy 'on special' and better yet, more than one item, there's savings to be had.
Pyramid tells You down to the penny, shipping, duty, tax, how much it's going to be, then you decide.
The Indian is a no brainer, cheaper from D&L than Pyramid!
Kelly is Great to deal with, made many purchases from D&L, first rate.
