Hello all!

I recently aquired a crosman Mk.1 i pressurized it and heard no leaks whatsoever i go to shoot it and on low power the pellet doesn't move out of the barrel and on high power it kind of just spits it out. I have a brand new seal kit, valve stem, and hammer spring (I haven't installed anything yet) but I don't know what i should replace. I looked in the chamber that gets pressurized and there appears to be some sort of copper mesh? I will attempt to get a picture of it tomorrow morning however there appears to be some sort of black gunk on it. I don't know where to begin with this repair and was hoping i could get some sort of assistance.

Thank y'all for looking!

From your discription your gun requires a full disassembly and thorough cleaning. Since you have a new rebuild kit for it install it. What older parts that may appear salvagable keep as spares in case.
PM me if you require more help.

Hi Comrad_Zaitsev!

If you have never disassembled a Mark I, they are not overly difficult, but you will probably need some guideline on the sequence to do it.

Check this link:

http://www.airgunartisans.com/CRMark1&2.htm

It has the Factory Service Manual but unfortunately the other link that was connecting to Cooper's page for disassembly doesn't seem to work anymore.

I rebuilt a couple of them with my own homemade face seal and standard o-rings and if you have a dedicated resealing kit it should be a lot easier to fix yours than what I did to fix mine.

Have fun.

I have almost fully disassembled it before with the help of another site but this one is more comprehensive. Thank you very much for the link it will help with the valve disassembly!
