Hi folks, my first time on this forum.

I bought a used rifle that had good sights , rifling and trigger. A carbon copy of my first
extremely accurate 620. Those straight front sights worked, for me, as a ranging unit.
Even at the tops of trees those squirrels were toast.

I found the mainspring was broken. Any suggestions on how to replace it?
I have found 630 springs from the manufacturer . Might they work?
You can't give up on these old beauties. Tom.

1. Measure the mainspring with vernier calipers. The "gauge" thickness of the wire (thickness) Then the O.D (outer diameter) of the wire & then see how many coils the spring has total including the the closed ends. Do the measurements in inches so the gauge of wire would read lets say .. 0.125 and maybe an O.D of 0.745 as an example.

The HW 45 /P1 spring is as close as it gets shortened 1.5-2 coils if I recall ? Measure the old one to compare........Harold

Or try D and L Airguns under accessories, utility mainsprings. Several sizes offered for cheap...

My suggestion for the P1/HW45 spring is in error it replaces the 624 I believe....running at 400fps new........Harold
