I've purchased two, maybe three pistols from M. You will not find a better seller. Great guy to deal with.

I enjoy shooting my CP 88's in speed events vs bullseye shooting...

Anyone know where to get either the RWS or Air Venturi Speedloader for this pistol?

Been googling and everyone loves them (easily loads up to 7 rotary clips in about 20 seconds) - but not easy to find...

Got 3 rotary clips coming next week. Will test accuracy between the RWS Hobby and the RWS Meisterkugeln Pro.

Will eventually test the RWS Superdome too.

I gave up trying to find the speedloader a couple of years ago....last one I saw for sale was from a pellet gun retailer in Germany.

What is an average grouping size for this pistol at 10m non-rested?

I shoot in my apartment maybe 2-3 times a wk, sitting on my couch but otherwise a non-rested grip and my 8-shot groups are an unimpressive 2" average (+/-) diameter, often containing a flyer and this is at 23ft (7m) using Hobby's mostly but some RWS Meist. Pro 8.2 grains.

I have not tried a rested grip since soon after I received it. The former owner said he got quarter size groups at 10 yards. I will see what I can get rested some day. I look forward to improving

90% of owners say don't do it... but,

I have now quick-fired off 4 rotary mags of pointed Stoeger X-Hunt pellets and they fit really nice 8)

Can't speak for accuracy - not sure yet - but if your fun targets need an edge (read: penetration) - you can empty your rotary mags using this pellet at 6-8m. They are 8.6 grains so further targets could cost you power...

My Daisy 953 5 shot mags may find them a bit too loose :? , so I thought maybe I wasted my money on these pellets, until I tried them with the CP88

I better stop firing them at my Crosman Pellet Trap... surely putting holes in the curtains!

[Will report on accuracy at a later time]

Crosmiere HP's fit quite nicely in the rotary clips and give nice groups... I mention it because they are readily available at CTire, which is local for many folks. I like what Hobby's do also - but I have to order them and that means added shipping costs...

Hey gang - been looking for a shoulder holster for when I plink outdoors with friends

Anyone have a vertical shoulder holster they can suggest - and maybe a link?

This one has a reviewer stating a 1911 is a bit loose - is the CP88 Comp about the same size? Don't want it loose

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B002TU ... Y9EEQB#Ask

Thanks

Oh, also - anyone have a different CP88 pistol-case that holds more accessories?

If you want a really nice leather holster, contact plinkercases on this forum; I wouldn't be surprised if he already has a pattern for a CP88.

I'm considering the base black CP-88...
Just because there's a couple locally available.
Should I be concerned about consistency issues?
Gun appears to be the same internal platform as the 92-F Beretta, which gave me a ton of grief...

For when plinking in the woods, for convenience to carry, I got this black elastic belly band today.

Quite ideal for a right-handed shooters. I am left-handed but nevertheless I can make it work fine - the ammo/cartridge/utility pocket is just not as convenient.

I wear it so I will draw it from the right side with my left hand - crossing my body, but I can also draw from my left. $15, I'm happy.
It's not like I will be using every week

Mine is the 30" to 37" band, and my waist is about 33" - which gives a snug comfortable fit.

These pistols look like a lot of fun. Is the blued version simply shiny paint or is it actually blued metal? Has anyone here used it in a target competition setting or is it a simply plinking gun?

There are 3 versions......the silver(nickel),black(painted) and the blued.
The blued version is easy to spot......shiney shiney.......the painted looks very dull in comparison.
