I had a scope on my Nitro Venom(gas ram) for 3 years and never had a problem with it.I took it off and put it on my phantom springer(pal rated) and it broke in under a thousand pellets.4 days of shootng. What is a tough scope for sprngers that DONT break? Actually I need TWO scopes now. :(

First and foremost, look for air-gun specific scopes...from Hawke, BSA, Leapers, UTG, and so on and so forth. 100 bucks to a thousand.

I've had good luck with all 3 brands.

Some of them have the reticle etched on the glass as well.

I put the cheaper scopes (<$200) on my Benji's, or projects, or Chinese junk, and the good stuff on the higher end rifles like HW-97 & 77.

Hawke - and apparently they are good for the warranty if it does break. Vantage or Airmax variants, depending what size and reticle you want for about $250 or less does the job.

I got one of these from Dan a few years ago, I am surprised he still has them in stock. It works very well on my HW98. A little stiff when you first get it but a nice scope.

Jeff.
