Hi everyone, new pistol shooter here, figured This was a good section for chit chat. Finally set up a pellet trap and did some sighting in and groups with different pellets. I have Crosman pointed 14.3, hp 14.3, H&N ftt 14.66, AA 16, JSB 14.35 and JSB 18.13 grain pellets. Most of the groups were shot from the 2240. Surprisingly(to me) the FTT's gave me the worst groups. Good quality pellets, just not what the 2240 likes. The best groups were from the JSB jumbo express 14.35gr pellets. My next surprise was the Crosman pointed pellets out shooting the domed HP, since the pointed pellets receive so little fanfare. In fact, they were 2nd most accurate! That doesn't help me much, at $8 for 175 pellets though, lol! I might try some JSB RS pellets. What other pellets would you guys reccomend? My use for these is mostly plinking, some target, some hunting. Rob

Go figure - CP Pointed pellets in my Benji .22 Legacy gave such poor accuracy - I thought I had to re-site my scope! Until I opened up the CP HP and my accuracy improved significantly

All of my crosmans seem to adore the RWS professional line .53g was cutters.. At 10 yards I consistently get sub dime sized groupings..
