Could be. Bullpups are not illegal in Canada, and the the extension could be a non-silencing muzzle brake.

Not illegal in Canada? Have you called the CFO or CBSA?

Bullpup STOCKS are illegal in Canada, but there are a few complete bullpups for sale here (for now).... However, ask Tom Costin at American Air Arms what he was told when he tried to get a non-restricted FRT number for the Slayer.... He was told in no uncertain terms that no more Bullpups were going to slip by.... He was denied entry of the Slayer into Canada as PROHIBITED....

By "default" they are... Any bullpups needs to be approved, and as far as I know there are no FTR for the Vulcan.

In order to be approved, the manufacturer needs to
- Submit a sample for "evaluation"
- Prove that the gun was designed as a bullpups from the beginning, and not an adaption of an existing design into a bullpups configuration
- The only bullpups that have been approved in the last decades, the stock integrated in the design/operation of the firearm. As in, the gun will not function without the stock.

When the RCMP realized that the Walther G22 share the same mechanism as the P22 pistol, the stock of the G22 was declared a prohibited device...

The Steyr AUG was designed from the ground up as a bullpup and the stock is an integral part of the firearm. But it was deemed "prohibited" by name

Does it make sense? Does it change anything?
- No... but we're dealing with bureaucrats and government regulations. It seldom does.

As sillymike has mentioned, integral part of the firearm. In the case of the Vulcan, it seems the stock can easily be removed and the gun action still fired. Additionally no sound moderator will ever be approved.

As I understand the RCMPolice have changed the Rules. There are now NEW rules/laws - which do not appear to need any Parliamentary passing now that 'the rules pertaining to firearms laws' have been changed.

Alot of this garble could have been avoided by saying this is back home in US or England.

Also why 2 accounts?

There are neither rhyme nor reason to the RCMP/Government firearms rulings.
Heck, in the past they prohibited and confiscated thousands of legally bought/registered firearms because they decided that these were not "variant" of a prohibited firearm.

Yet, there are no legal/technical definition of what constitute a "variant" :axe:
If you don't agree with their decision, you can take a lawyer and try to fight them.
Just keep in mind that
- the RCMP/Government have more time and $ than you...
- we do not have property rights

dave_goodall,
How does it shoot?
