i'm going to order a Disco tube and internals for Eric! i have a BnM breach, barrel, hammer spring etc already.

I ordered this extend valve cap for it and 3k screws, from Magnum Power, apparently you can use the disco at a high psi! it extends pass the gauge port so I want need a gauge..

http://onlinestore.magnumairpower.com/p ... -valve-cap

Any one use this extend end cap or know anyone that has?

Greg

Are the screws the same size thread as factory?

Ive been thinking of making my maximus 3000 PSI compatible. By adding a 3rd valve retaining screw.

Would not suggest filling a disco to 3000psi...even less so when using the factory screw holes in the tube.

Short answer is bearing stress.

Factory setup has 2000psi against the valve face generating a force which is held not just by the screws (clamping force and shear) but also supported by the tube wall and the screw head.

Increasing fill pressure to 3000psi increases force by 50% and lowers the safety factor at the screw pocket below that of a factory disco.

I am also of the opinion that stainless screws are not the best choice for pcp use. Brand name alloy steel low head socket head cap screws are a far better choice IMHO.

Can get a box of 100 at Acklands Grainger. Last boxes I bought were around $15 cdn.

I drilled and tapped my disco valve for high tensile 10/32 low head screws. There has been extensive testing done on it to test failure. I fill to about 2300 but have room for error now if I ever did overfill.
Here is the link to testing...

Oh if you try and order from the magnum airpower website it won't let you. I emailed the company and you will need to email them a list of what you want.

He will spew something about it being illegal to send airgun parts out of US. Me thinks un educated.

It's probably a pain in the &*^&$#@ to ship air rifles to Canada, not worth his while! I did see he had a maximus stock for a disco made up

We're you thinking of opening up your tp?Poly tubing or someing?

Greg
