i happened across a nice Crosman 1088 at a local pawn shop just before Christmas - if it doesn't sell I will be happy to keep it as it is an fairly accurate little pellet pistol!

I'm into pumpers a little. Still like my Crosman 760 which I reviewed recently.
By Wednesday , should receive the Umarex NXG APX 490 pumper kit which was on sale last week from Replica .

I got coal. My wife said she remembered how I talked about how it would explode when shot.
So i gave it back to her and told her how I remembered her saying how cold she feels all the time since she's getting older.
Just kidding. Merry Christmas.

Coal is good for this cold weather Joe.
I got a crony and bipod from the dog and cat, but I had to pay for it.

Way better than a Red Ryder: Santa knows that no kid should lose an eye due to a ricocheting BB so he got my boys this pellet dispensing beauty. To my relief it was a huge hit and we got to spend a lot of time shooting together, popping small balloons at a distance as far as 8m. Both boys (5 and 7) did remarkably well with both the laser and red dot on the M4, hitting bulls eyes on several occasions and also not allowing a single balloon to survive (we went through 50 balloons yesterday alone). Heck, they even eliminated quite a few balloons with the 357, which was a surprise to me given how bulky the handle is in that thing. And these are "worms" balloons, no more than 1.5" in diameter when filled. They also showed remarkable marksmanship with the 357's open sights, despite the poor ergo and their tiny hands. Thank goodness for single action!

Their taking to this and the many requests that we go shooting throughout the day truly made my Christmas. They're now hooked. Hmm thinking bout it I do have an old Red Ryder sitting in a pile somewhere. Wonder if I should dig it out? Nah, can't risk having them lose interest or losing an eye. Will stick to the high tech stuff. Merry Christmas, all.
