Hi there
I got a chance to buy a Slavia 624 with the box the seller said it still shoots great and is in great shape.
Do you think these are worth buying?
Feedback and pricing suggestions would be appreciated!!
He just emailed me a pic looks pretty good.
Thanks

the 624 is small and more of a kids rifle
there nice and there fun if there shooting/working good
price depending on condition i'd say $50-$80
but i think you want something like a 630...let me know i can hook you up...

So the 630 is a bigger rifle? Does the 630 shoot harder then the 624? I got 2 boys that would probably like to shoot it.
From what the seller is saying he would let it go really cheap.

oh so the 624 is for your boys in that case yes it would be good for them
yes the 630 is the big boys air rifle...
if im not mistaken the 630 was used by cadets for military practice because its size is very close to and actual rifle
yes it shoots harder then the 624...much but still within the 500fps limit...

yes... but you didn't hear that from me
there is a bit of a downside because its short and light
if you increase the power you will get more recoil/kick

Ok no problem... so you would replace the spring to gain more power?

So i just picked up the gun there is a bit of pitting on the barrel but that should remove easily, so how would i mod the existing spring? Can you still buy those springs?

If the spring is worn out, you can use an hw45 spring, but you'll need to shorten it a little bit by removing some coils:
topic68183.html

Specialty Shooting Sports Outdoors in BC have it in stock:
https://www.specialtyshootingsportsoutdoors.com/air-gun-parts/weihrauch/mainsprings/weihrauch-hw45/hw25-mainspring.html

If you need a new leather seal and doesn't want to make one, JG Airguns have one for the slavia 618. It's the same gun except that the 624 have a longer stock and a longer barrel than the 618: http://www.jgairguns.biz/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=78_185_690&products_id=9179

Edit: You can also use some washers (not to much) to preload the spring and theoretically increase the power.

Edit2: Someone makes synthetic seals for the Slavia 617 618 619 622 624 and 627 in Australia, but it's $35 plus shipping and I don't know if they ship to Canada:
