The description on D&L says 40 shots at consistent velocity per CO2. Is that true across different temperatures?
Does it have some sort of special valve that can also be used when nodding a 2240?

I'm guessing it's affected by temperature as with any other CO2 pistol or rifle.

The valves are part # 2250-003 in 1740/2240 pistols, and part # 2300-122 in 2300S/2300T pistols. There is a sleeve in the 2300S/2300T valve which reduces the valve volume, and the valve stem and front valve half are different from the 1740/2240. The transfer ports (TP) are the same in all pistols. Hammer springs are the same in the 1740, 2240 and 2300T. The 2300S has a different hammer spring, but it has a velocity adjuster. In the 1740 (and ''old'' 2240), the hammer is part # 2250A011, all others is part # 2300-050.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the valves are interchangeable between the different pistols.

:)
