Both my MK I & II leak gas as soon as a CO2 cartridge is inserted. The gas hisses out until the cartridge is empty,
Is there someone in Ontario (south west) who can repair these guns for me? I would rather not send them to MacAir in the US.
Maybe I can replace the seals myself if someone can walk me through the process. If I do it, then I would go all the way; stripping them down, repainting, replacing all seals and rebuilding. WHEW! HELP!
Thanks everyone.

if its leaking right out the barrel more then likely you need a new valve stem seal...
not to sure you have the tools or know how to rebuild one so your better off search for a valve stem if you can find one
and just swapping it out...

Thanks Ace.
I saw some o-rings for these airguns on eBay.
Should I get the white urethane ones or the black rubber ones? They come with the latest Crosman factory repair manual #2
Hard job tearing the guns down? Should I get the kit?
Thanks

Is it leaking out the barrel... or out the piercer cap... or out the trigger guard?

Barrel --- suspect valve stem seal
Piercer cap --- easy fix. Urethane o-rings from hydraulics shop.
Trigger guard --- suspect valve body seal

ThanksI
I'll have to put in a new cartridge to see where it is leaking from. Last time from the button for sure.
Should I install the white, urethane o-rings? Last longer? Not affected by oil?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Yup, Urethane is what you want. Try your local hydraulics shops or gasket & seal dealers. Nitrile seals will balloon with CO2 and rip.

hi sorry just seen this looks like TCooper beat me to it...yes the white urethane last longer...
there not necessarily white, there more like a yellowy clear type...
but that's just if its leaking out the end cap...
there is also an o-ring that sits around the valve body they also tend to get hard and brittle
only way to see if its gone bad is to disassemble it...id start with the cap one first and work your
way from there...

you can see from this pic the o-ring thats on the valve body

Wow, I found my old Crosman Mark 1 Review! This makes my day! I lost this review a couple of years ago when my server accidentally dumped my entire Airgun Trivia web site. Yah, it hurt... lots! Anyway, here is my old review. Someone saved it to their web site.
