I have bought a pellet gun from private seller in UK.
Now I do not know how to bring it in Canada.
I was sure it could be shipped over the mail, but Canada Post refused to take it.
It is not a replica, below 495 ft/s.
Can I bring it in my checked luggage? I am going to UK anyway this summer.
It is used Drulov DU-10. Anyone had such experience?

Very odd that Canada post would not take it. Firearms (restricted and non restricted) and airguns are shipped every day with Canada post...and have been for as long as I can remember.

Break it down. Ship in more than one box. Call it replacement parts.

It is not actually Canada Post, it is Landmark Global, postal service partner in UK.

There's no reason they should refuse shipping, but, of course, we, as """firearm""" owners, know how the bureaucracy works. First, I'd check with the national CFO to confirm the status of the gun in Canada. Forward that passing-grade email to Landmark with an enquiry. If they still refuse, bring it back in your luggage, knowing that the CFO has no problem at this end (but documentation such as its box with fps rating, a copy of your email from the CFO, your PAL if you have one, etc., will be helpful in moving you through the on-the-ground bureaucrats more quickly).

Britain does not forbid export of air guns to Canada. Your only issue here is bureaucrats who don't know the laws, so they answer negatively to be safe. and it's no skin off their noses. When you're there (if you have to wait until you go), contact the local authorities to guide you thru safe passage. Assuming the CFO here does not have an issue with that particular gun, you are not breaking any laws.

Thank you, Edmonton.
I will start with CFO.
