Another 6 shooter to add to the collection. This is a Crosman Model 44 Peacemaker, .22cal single action revolver. The paint is a little rough on the cylinder but it'll make a nice shooter.

I'm not sure if this is a Series I 1970-71 or a Series II 1972-76 pistol.

Anyhow, it has a nice feel to it. Very solid. The cylinder rotates so smoothly with very little play. I sure wish they still made'em like this...

Hi Grumppee,

Very nice one! Is that the one MRMARVIN was selling? Talk about "I snoze, I lose"!

Congratulations!

Take care,

Yes. It's a fantastic piece. I'm trying to get my hands on another one. I mean, two blazing 6 guns must be better than one...

I may strip the paint and leave it with bare metal. I've seen others and they look really nice. Perhaps a nice set of wooden grips too.

Here's a picture from CrookedBarn of a few bare metal 6 shooters. http://www.crookedbarn.com/images/Westerns.jpg

Received my second peacemaker today. It requires some work, paint and lube.

Good morning all - my first visit to the forum.

This pair of 44's look great. I have one but it just will not hold the CO2 charge. The valve must be leaking. Can anyone help me find out how to get replacement parts and/or have this gun repaired?

regards,

ron

To be honest, I haven't shot either of them yet. I am hoping to travel a little north in the next couple of weeks. I plan on bringing both 44s and a recently acquired 38C with me.

I am playing with the idea of stripping one of the pistols down to the bare metal and adding some nice light coloured wood grips. BUT I don't really want to take one of them apart and not be able to get it back together or even worse, lose something. Yikes!.
