Hi, I just found that the Fx impact is available for canadian market. It is a bullpup design and for the canadian market they modify the shroud to make it fix . Does any of you know other bullpup design that is available to canadian market? I really like the Fx impact but at 2500$, it is too expensive for me.

Impact doesn't quite fit into the bull pup category.

It is not a bullpup.

In firearms terminology, an action is the mechanism that handles the ammunition (loads, locks, fires, and extracts the cartridges) or the method by which that mechanism works

The side lever is the action...

This looks fine for Canada. 29" OAL with a 19-3/4" barrel is only possible one way..

What makes them prohibited in Canada is the fact that the stock can be removed/added, much like taking a custom bullpup stock and adding it to a rifle platform to achieve a shorter OAL. If the stock is integral to the complete platform, it could be allowed if it passes FRT, as it looks like this has.

Yes, steep price. It would be nice to see some more affordable competition with the integral bullpup setups in the country, but doubt anything would be deemed affordable when there is little competition and a market.. supply and demand.

From the RCMP website, bullpup rifles are LEGAL in Canada, it bullpup conversion stock that are illegal.

http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regu ... lText.html
Quote:
2 Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

Well, if you look closely, the magazine/breach/loading mechanism is at the back of the firearm.

The FX is "legal" because it was designed from the ground up as a bullpup. It's not just a rifle stock to modify and existing airgun. The "stock" is an integral part of the design, as in, you cannot operate that rifle without the stock.
