My AirArms developed a fill valve leak so I decided to replace all 0-rings.
How far into the air cylinder should the depinger be located? My guess is how I have the parts layed out in the picture.

That I can not answer, but seeing as you have it that far apart, I'm trying to get my power wheel out and have not been able too.

There is a very small set screw that holds it in via pushing a spring onto a small bearing that holds the wheel in place. Apparently, when the set screw is removed, said spring and bearing come out and then the wheel just pushes out to the knob side?

Wanna give it a go?

On mine it was all the way at the fill end. I believe it moved and would again. I solved the problem by leaving it out and I didn't notice any pinging afterwards and I now have more room for air.

No ping after removal eh? That's interesting. I read a post about people using a baby bottle brush inside the air cylinder for a depinger

Here you go peter. Once I removed the set screw I used a sewing needle with a small kink on the tip to reach down and pull the spring, I turned over the valve and gave a small tap and the ball came out.

Actually it's not a ball, it's a pin.
