I was going to pick one of these up, build quality is supposedly excellent. Changed my mind, after reading it blows through two co2 cartridges for two clips worth of bb's. Had a drozd I got tired of for the same reason. Maybe a bulk fill option will be available in the future, would make it more appealing in the long run.

Close to 200 shot's per 2 co2 cart. is nor so bad... Steel Force will get you slightly more 225 shot's. I find it ''ok'' consommation... 8)

Couldn't agree more. If the MP40 is like the SteelForce it won't be if but when I'm buying one!

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

That's why I got mine converted to HPA ( Steel Force ). I see it this way. Can't have full autos, and 2 carts of Co2 is cheaper then a 32 rd mag of 9mm. I'll probably look at getting the MP40.

The SteelForce is a great gun. The real question is why didn't they make a Thompson first? I mean the MP40 is great but a Thompson... :tonqe:

Maybe because Umarex is a German company?
Just saying...

Umarex Sportwaffen GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer of air guns, tear-gas and signal pistols, paintball markers under the RAM brand and airsoft guns, based in Arnsberg, Germany. The firm was founded in 1972.

Most of what they "make" is made by another company and Umarex sells it with licensed trade marks added.

I didn't know Germany was a big market for these BB guns. I always tought they were more target gun oriented VS the US which is more full auto oriented.
But the way I say it these are "cheap" (when compared to a wooden stocked rifle springer or PCP for example) guns that sell like hot cake. The could have used the mecanics of the Steel Force and make a whole line of guns ! An MP40, the Thompson, the AK, some kind of H&K MP series of guns. It's really a fun gun to shoot! Everyone who tries it gives it back with a wide grin on their face. :D
Wasn't the Thompson made by Colt at some point? Since they already have a deal with Colt, I tought it would be a no brainer.
