Are you talking about the QB78 Deluxe? It's a nicer finished QB, barrel is a bit thicker, stock has nicer wood, gold coloured trigger and fibre optic sights if my memory serves me correctly (too lazy to go look).

Nice gun, well worth the extra money. But a standard QB is a great gun too.

Thanks for the info. I wonder how it compares to a spring gun like the Diana 240 Classic. Any thoughts?

I don't have a Diana 240 to compare, but I have many springers, mostly break barrels. I also have a QB78D in .22 and a QB78 in .177. The QBs are louder than my springers, but there's no recoil. Also, being CO2 guns, they're affected by cold weather. I can say they're not pellet picky and very accurate, not hold sensitive. I consider them very good guns for the money, and very easy to tune, work on and modify. Lot of infos and parts available on the net.

I've owned and shot a QB78D for several years, and have installed a number of mods. The mods didn't add to its impressive accuracy, but were tailored to my personalization of the rifle. Excellent rifles. Hard to compare one to a springer as the power plant is completely different. Any scope/red dot can be used as there's not any recoil to speak of. RC
