Hello All!

I have always loved shooting airguns from the age of 12 when I purchased my first air rifle (I think it was a .177 Slavia 614 smooth bore) from Canadian Tire. Unfortunately, this rifle is long gone but I still have the .177 Slavia 630 air rifle that I purchased a few year later from Sears. The rifle is still great for plinking, although it has lost a bit of power over the years as well as the hood for the front sight. Around this time, for indoor target practice, I purchased a .22 Crosman 38T CO2 revolver, which is also still functional but has lost a some paint here and there from heavy use. Fast forward a few decades to my more recent acquisition of a .22 Crossman Phantom from Walmart that I use for plinking when visiting my brother-in-law who lives in a rural area. Not a bad rifle once the trigger was modded to lighten the pull. A couple of years ago I also purchased a .22 Crosman 1322 pistol that I like because the pump action allows me to adjust power for indoor or outdoor shooting. A few weeks ago, on a whim, I picked up a Umarex Baretta APX CO2 bb pistol, which is great fun to shoot and has me considering adding a Tanfoglio Witness 1911 to my growing collection. With retirement only a couple of years away I am looking forward to putting more time into my hobbies, which also include amateur astronomy, brewing and computer gaming, so a pretty eclectic mix!

By the way, my username is a nod to my time in 2 RCA, for those who know a bit about the artillery branch of the Canadian Forces.

Cheers,
David

Welcome to the forum David! I hope your stay will be an enjoyable and educational one. The Tanfoglio Witness is a very good plinking pistol to get. I've had it for 4 years now and it's turned out to be my top BB shooter in terms of fun & accuracy.

Minor edit: changed Slavia 630 to Slavia 620 (Czech manufacture, 1972)
