Just wondering how to define 'hunting' in the case.... kill a pigeon or squirrel in the backyard with the 1322 is offence to the law or not ?

Does anyone know if the crosman 1322 is loud or not, because that would really effect my hunting when I'm going for quail or grouse. I live in bc so the bag limit is 10 a day for both. I checked and the crosman 1322 has approx. 6 foot pounds of energy, does anyone know how much you need to kill a pheasant somewhat "humanly"?

(1) IMO, I don't think the 1322 is very loud while shooting... I think the pumping makes more noise... and as I usually attach the target on a piece of wood, so the sound from the .22 pellet hitting the wood is louder than it comes out the muzzle...

(2) while with a good shot, the power of the 1322 is good enough to kill a squirrel in a sudden. Otherwise, it can still make a kill but your target may die after some to 10 more seconds.....

You can substitute the 1322 tube for a 760, or 2100 tube and buy a longer barrel to turn it into a carbine/rifle. If you don't have a pal license you would probably need to detune it to keep it under 500fps. You'd then be able to use it hunting in BC.
