Has anyone who owns NP and springers noticed any significant difference in the loudness of the shot. I have three NP's and three springers and they all sound about the same to me.

I do not think there is much sound produced from the spring or nitro piston itself. All the sound happens at the end of the barrel where the pellet exits. As long as it's the same pellet and the same fps there should be a very similar sound report. May vary between co2 and pcp.

Well the twang of a spring is louder than a NP. Esp when you are talking about Sub 500 FPS.

I would say the sound is quicker than a coil spring, but not really quieter. Sub-500 with the short stroke piston it's super smooth and quiet. Full power it cracks pretty good!

Have sleeved most of mine with pop bottles and sanded everything down, have no spring twang now.

Only have springers though.
