I live North of Toronto maybe 35-40 minutes along 404, in a L4G7X4 suburb.
I hear for that indoor range in downtown but me driving there is no bueno if they open Monday afternoons only.
From the other side around Aurora I have couple powder-gun clubs that would cost me like close to thousand bucks a year (with a lot of luck) for indoor range only.
My QB ended up as a PAL rated and I would like to have/find some longer ranges at least 50 or 100 meters and for more affordable $$$ for occasional visits, me alone or take my boys out.
I have not tried to nock at the farmers doors, not even sure what or how to ask them....
Do I am asking too much?

It's Monday evenings from 5:30pm to 10pm.

Have you checked if there was any public land near by?

Seems like there isn't much South of lake Simcoe.
I'd go the farmer route. Be nice, polite and expecting them to say no.

Bog Hun - I understand the problem. I lived in SW Ontario to just past my 21st birthday. I had it easy, though, as there are a lot of farms close by and even in the village I lived

there was no - 'no-discharge of firearm law' - yet.

I would second the suggestion of asking at farms - picking those without truck (soybean, winter wheat.corn - fence to fence) farming, if there are any left. a Dairy farm might have a 'back 40', pasture you could use. All you can do is ask around.

Best Wishes
