I noticed on some pellet tins, it will say this is for rifles or pistols...

Does this really matters?! Or they will have different design besides the weight difference?

I didn't care of it until I found that the RWS R10 8.2 gr pellet fits much tighter than the 7.0gr in my HW40... And I just noticed the JSB wadcutter yellow tin ( medium weight ), 8.02gr are for air rifles too ( showed on the older style label from forum store, but no show on the newer style label from AGS...but it fits well in my HW40 )

Depending how what you buy, pellets are available in different weight/diameter.
In most cases, for 10M match rifle and pistol, folks will shoot the lighter pellets out their pistols and the heavier will fare better with the rifle...

Personally, I can't say I've noticed a difference in score while using 7gr/8gr... other than a few clicks up or down to center the groups
