I am currently looking at a Dianna 34 classic or a 350 magnum classic but am wondering which has the better trigger ? do they both use the T06 trigger I have read about?

Also are the Diana RWS any different from a plain Diana?

What would your suggestions be ? Any other brand that would be better to look at in a similar type of rifle?

It will be used for squirrel hunting and some informal target .

Also where is a good place to buy these?

Thanks

Out of those two I think I would have to go with the HW97 as I need an ambidextrous stock.

Any suggestion on a scope? I dont need a I high powered one for this. Something like a 3-9 or 4-16.

Just be aware that the HW97 is a heavy, heavy rifle. Of the Diana's you mentioned I would recommend the Model 34. The 350 is overpowered in my opinion, and overpowering a springer to that extent is not needed. In fact, of all the Diana's presently available I would suggest a Model 280 in FAC trim. It is light, accurate and has just the right amount of power to make it accurate and it is light for field work. Put a simple tune on it and it is one heck of a rifle. All the current Diana's, except for the entry level ones like the 240, use T06 triggers. And this is a fine trigger. As far as HW goes, my pick in a springer would be the HW95. It has nice weight, nice quality, nice accuracy, but .. can be twangy in factory form. But a Maccari tune kit and piston seal turns it into one beautiful springer.

PS: RWS is a distributor of Diana rifles, mostly in the US. The rifles are the same.

3-9 should be good enough. Go a bigger lens, like 40mm will give you much better view ~ I have an old school 3-9x40 hawke which I bought used and love it so much better than the previous 4x32... I don't think you need the fancy function like color illuminating etc and can save the money on the simple but durable and stable ones

To answer your question, I have both.

Have taken many a gopher with the 350. I eventually put in a vortex kit and it really smoothed out the shot cycle. Then I bought a T06 trigger and a new piston.

Very sweet with the 06 trigger.

My 34 is an anniversary edition with a beauty walnut stock. It had a vortex kit in it when I bough it. Very smooth and accurate.

D&L has a very good selection and I just noticed the have the 470th back in stock. Thats a sweet gun.

Have many HW's as well, my Diana's compete very well with those.

The best price I can see now for diana 280 is here:
https://www.airgunforum.ca/store/produc ... cts_id=134

Hawken airmax 3-9x40 is a perfect scope for it:

Nice scope!! And I also found that a set of better scope mount is a must especially the scope will be used on springers ~ don't get the 10$ ebay deals ~ [emoji16][emoji16]

I never had a diana 34 and I'm just curious - what makes the 34 better rifle than 280 for you?
They both have the same trigger - T06 so it shоuld be something different than the trigger.

regards
Borislav

I had both. Bought 3 m34 and sold them. I only had 1 350. It litterly vibrated to pieces. I couldnt get it to group.I ordered another m34 , my 4th . VERY accurate and easy to shoot and enough power for medium size game. I was warned by the gun smith not to buy the 350 but didnt listen. I still have the m34 in 177, but have added Weihrauch HW 35e and HW 95, both in .22. I would look for a used HW 95. You can find some in new condition for the price of a new 350. No comparison.

I owned both. The 350 was a beast, hard recoil and screws coming loose. The gunsmith tried to talk me out of it, but would not listen. I took it out a few times and could not shoot groups smaller than 3 inches. Traded it in for a Diana 34. It was my third one. I hit cans and crab apples at 50 yrs no problem and no scope! Great gun, and mine has the 12 groove barrel.

I own a TX200HC, a HW97K, and a Diana 34 Meisterschtze Pro, and the Diana compares favorably with both the TX and HW.
The T06 trigger is superb. Excellent rifle, and the one I shoot most accurately from 45 yds. RC
