Does anyone know if he moved his website to a new URL? Some really good information there.

I expect he will chime in here but basically the website crashed due to a server problem and most of it was lost. He has pm-ed me some links to remaining info that was saved to archive and they were incredibly useful so it is a real sad loss.

Oh no. What a shame.
Thank you Under500fps, at least we have a good piece of it.

You can check here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20160517130811/http://my.tbaytel.net:80/coopers/

On some of the archived pages the images don't load, however.

I did find the Crosman Mark I and II article with images on another Canadian airgun forum. A search for Cooper brings it and some other article/posts up. I can post the direct link if our forum members think it is okay to link to another forum.

Hope that helps.

Todd's a personal friend. He has been able to recover much of his site's content after Thunder Bay Telephone deleted his files. He's vacationing now, we probably won't hear from him for another week or so.

As Rick mentioned, a few years ago my server deleted an old email address that my web site was directly connected to (free web space). Apparently that old address was compromised so they deleted it. When I finally became aware, it was too late for the information to be retrieved. The friend who uploaded all my web work for me is no longer around so everything was lost.... until someone suggested that I check the Archive Wayback Machine. That info on my Airgun Trivia web site took me hundreds of hours to put together so I was quite pleased to see that not all was lost. The pages lost some character in some areas but a lot of the info is still there, less many images.

You can play around on the Archive Machine and possibly find more of the Airgun Trivia web pages. Click on various years in the bar chart and then click the highlighted calendar dates. Some of the archived attempts have more of the pics than others.

Todd, that is definitely a damn shame when you put so much work into something and it just disappears like that. But I'm glad that you were able to locate a lot of this great information you've put together for us. Thank you for your reply and for the links.

Thank goodness for Archive.org . I from time to time try to find your review of the B3-1 (awesome review BTW) but can't load your site. I feared the worst that maybe something happened to you along with the website shutting down.

Good to see you're still around Mr. Cooper. :D Hopefully you are able to find any backups to recover the site back to original. Given how USB drives have dropped in price so much now a days that they are giving them away at trade shows you could get like a 3 pack of IDK, 4GB for maybe $10. Put the full backup of your site on one USB drive and keep at home, put another in a safety deposit box or friends place, backup the backup on the 3rd USB drive, then .zip the whole website and email it to yourself on say Gmail and or a friends email. :D That way you have multiple backups in case it goes down again. :D
