This will probably be very basic for most, but what the hey. It's also only half done until I can get the new O-rings. Oh, and I may get terminology wrong as I'm still a novice.

Started with trying to get the fill valve off. I'd been charging a new (to me) AT44, and it blew a leak at about 1500psi.

I was able to borrow a barrel vice to remove the valve. It was on there significantly tight. On inspection I noticed a few burred threads and the gauge (actually, I knew the gauge was very inaccurate, possibly broken) wasn't healthy. I managed to find a 7/8" socket, and get it turned down to fit inside the protective shroud for the gauge. Gauge was relatively easy to remove. I then turned the valve upside down and used needle nose pliers to remove the bottom piece. Underneath was a spring (so be careful) and the tapered valve seat (with o-ring). All o-rings were stiff and flattened.

Haven't figured out how to post pictures. I have them all for this thread. Personally I dislike the various photo sites as the links all seem to disappear. I'll research some more and may have to get an account and add to the thread.

If I can get sizes for the o-rings, I'll order them prior to getting home next week. Any suggestions (besides an airsoft/paintball shop) for the gauge? I'd like to order and have it at the house when I get home.

(HINT - if anybody knows the sizes and sources, please tell me. Same for the gauge)
