Does anyone know what type of plastic the 13xx firearms are made of? Same for the Backpacker?

It's hard to tell what type of a plastic is while it's already been moded into a final product.... If anyone knows, I want to know too ~

I deal with plastic for many years... Bandai Gundams, twin-stars ( don't remember its real name... Japanese models...), and then I have been working in the manufacture plant makes boxes for many years... I know too many different materials can make the same product looks same and with same performance....

Def isn't polymer. I would guess maybe ABS resins.

I'm pretty sure most of those Japanese figures are vinyl

My guess was possibly PVC, but more likely ABS. I also thought briefly polystyrene, I don't that would be the same hardness as the forearm though.
I guess I could do the "does it whiten" or flame tests on an old grip I have.

Have no experience on ABS.

But if is PVC, doesn't it the PVC will touch and feel more softer?

As it's hard to break / crack... So looks not likely PS even the HIPS ( hi-impact PS)...

I guess ABS too ~

Well now I'm not sure.

From Crosman on the stock for the 13/22xx

But actually polymer just too wide... Did it mentions what kind of polymer?!

Usually normal plastic is polymer... And actually paper is polymer of fibers..... Just learnt it from Wikipedia....

If it's made of ABS.
Then taking a small amount of ABS (plumbing) glue on the end of a toothpick and touching it in a non conspicuous spot (or the inside of the frame)
should show signs of melting the plastic. Same should hold true for PVC...
Just a thought.

I guess the only way of finding out, is emailing crosman. I can tell you its def not the same polymer that my Ruger 2245, Grand Power K100 and Glock 34 frames are made out of.
