I liked my UTG/Leapers side focus/parallax scopes except for the big FAT reticle wire. There was no info about the etched being any better so I bought one of the same model but with the etched just to see. Diff is night and day... The wire is 4-5 times as fat as the etched, plus they replaced most of the giant mil dots with hashes. The led light also works better on the etched. With the wire you can clearly see a shadow on one side of the reticle, the etched looks perfect. Still way too bright imo, but that will require some modding on my part to fix. Plus it only lites up the etching giving you a thin floating reticle. The super fat legs on the outer edge still appear to be metal, but I don't care, all I wanted was a thin wire that doesn't block half or more of my target and this is it. This has effectively ruined my two UTG wire reticle scopes for me, which were unsat before, but now I can't stand them. So if considering a UTG then I'd consider the etched b/c now I'll have to buy two more etched to replace my wire ones which will likely be shelved or sold.
Pix are via my phone and it was basically impossible to get focus right, so here's the best I could do. I don't think I posted this pix already, but better two than none.

Great review as I heard the difference before but never try to bring the two to compare side by side!

I will keep in mind of the result and think about it twice when I make my next purchase ~

And nice photo taken ~ you just put the camera lens of your cellphone to the scope and take the photo? I tried but it just can't focus at all ~

Sent from my LG cellphone
