A while ago I bought a pellet sampler from D&L. Some of them weren't in the best of shape at the time but now even worse - very dull, tarnished and dusty looking.
Is it worth washing them in soapy water and maybe after drying, roll them around in a bag with a drop of oil to try and refresh them and remove the oxidation or are they better off ditched?

A little lead oxide probably won’t effect down the barrel performance all that much, although it’s definitely a toxic substance to accidentally ingest. Seems to me in the old days, lead oxide was added to gasoline to enhance lubrication. I wouldn’t bother washing them and definitely wouldn’t add oil to the mix. I’d either use them as is or toss em. Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth.

Cheers!

Pledge will stop them from oxidizing further. Make sure it's polish and not cleaner.
