Does such an animal exist?

Something I don't need a PAL for that can still target shoot with a semblance of accuracy at 30 meters or more?

Thanks,
Joe

Springers are a bit harder to shoot, but CO2 are subject to temperature change. So the best? I'm not sure.

But I used to shoot my IZH 60 out to 50M. Mind you I was just sticking a shovel handle into ground and shooting at metal shovel. I was getting decent accuracy. Couple inches. Mind you I was just plinking. Only issue is with the lower velocity you're going to need more elevation because they're going to drop faster.

But once you find how much hold off, and how wind effects. It should be fine.

I just bought a Diana 240C sub 500 for 30 ish M plinking.

Hmm, yeah...I think 30m for sub 500 guns is a limit and belong looks a bit hard for the sub 500 guns...

I have my Daisy 953 can shoot pretty well in 30m, and for longet range, I need one or two shots to determine how much adjustment I will need than I can still hit the target. But don't think about I can hit a bullseye or kill-zone size... Maybe should be something as big as 1, 2 inch size...

The Qb78d is sometimes availabile non pal version. They tend to be very accurate. The one I bought from airgunsource was right at 500fps out of the box and didn't need a pal. I've found the 4 or 5 crosman barrels I've used on different variants of 1322 and co2 powered guns have been really accurate out to 35 yards. Fun to shoot the daisy shatterblast with =). The 10" barrels seem just as accurate as the 14.5". If you don't mind pumping and don't have a 1322 I'd grab the one listed on the forum if it isn't gone already. Great price with two barrels! It may have the stock as well, not sure, but easy to buy one if not.

I shoot at a steel gong at further distances, its fun watching the pellet curve in.

Ya I figured that's asking a bit much.

If one was decent at 20m, that would be a good sub 500fps rifle. We usually target shoot at 10m with pistols, but I was hoping to go farther with a rifle.

Definitely you can ~
With my scoped Daisy 953, I can hit targets far away than my pistols...
I am looking to buy a HW30 for the same purpose too~

You can shoot whatever distance you want. I shoot handguns out to 200m.

As I mentioned, I've had great groups with the crosman and qb guns at 30m. I never kept my qb at sub 500 long, but my dad and brother continue to use their 1322's and they are amazing how accurate they are. One has a 15" barrel and the other a 10".
My Cp1-m Pistol is also great out to 30m. I have a different barrel on it now, a converted 1322 barrel, but before I sold the original, I was having great fun shooting out to 40 yards with it. That's pretty much the max though for that kind of fps.

My first ever air gun was a 1322, the old style with the wood colored grips and rear pull. I seem to remember it being quite the pistol for target shooting.

I'm going to start googling up the rifles mentioned in here, as I'm not real familiar with makes and models. (and if anybody wants to suggest more)
Thanks for the input guys.

By the way, did you mention your budget on this rifle?!

For different money you want to out onto it, you will have different choices ~

Under $400 would be nice. I know some of these air rifles can hit $1500+, but that seems unnecessary for a weekend plinker.

a QB79 in .177 with a PCP mod will give you a up to 25 meter rifle with semblance of accuracy

Definitely a HW30!!

Plus shipping and tax will be a little more than $400, gun itself from D&L is $391.

If you want a 953, I will say the Daisy 953 is very high value @ just a little more than a hundred but very great accuracy. You can contact Mr.Marvin, who might still have limited stock in hand and I don't know where else you can still find this gun. And I remember another forum member DDtank is selling his 953, but don't know if already sold or not.
