Hi all,

Could I get some opinions on a good, reliable chronograph brand/model to purchase. Thanks.

I think My 'Shooting CHRONY' is pretty good, and I believe still at least partially manufactured Here, in Canada! (Mississauga?)

I like my shooting chrony.

The caldwell is good because data logs the shots with a smart phone.

My shooting Chrony F1 with remote display is awesome, and made in Canada, too...

In case there is a misunderstanding, the recommendations above refer to a specific brand name: Shooting Chrony. These are regarded by most as the top-of-the-line brand. You can find them at http://shootingchrony.com/

I have a competition electronics pro chrono digital, I like it and you can do 9 shot strings at 99 shots per string, you can also get a plug in pack to transmit data to your phone, I done quite a bit of research before buying and what helped me decide is when I noticed some YouTube reviewers such as Steve Scialli from AEAC using the same product, and he released a video lately about the pros and cons of a few brands, hope this helps.

Pact and Oehler are higher-end Chronographs and are of higher quality and price than the Chrony's.

If you want a decently good chronograph that doesn't break the bank, any of the Chrony's should work fine for you.

If you want a higher end unit, look at the Oehlers and Pacts. I have had all of these and prefer the Pact to the Oehler

however, that is simply coming down to simplistic preferences, kinda like the long-time Ford/Chev dispute.

That Pact unit sure looks slick! Is there a Canadian source for this product line? I’m starting to avoid US sources now due to the extra duty that’s been tacked onto a number of my recent purchases.

Cheers!

Yes. I personally use a chrony brand because I dont mind writing down numbers.

We got one at the club. Ive yet to use it. But curious if I could do a side by side.

leadslinger,

If you get a chance to do a side by side, please let us know the results.

I will. I just heard air gunners going with the caldwell because the data logging function. Esp when trying to tune and shot count. Than having to write every number down.
