These two days, I put some time in playing with my 1322 and 2240. Both of my two guns used the bigget size TPs. One from Alliance Hobby in eBay, the Max Flow TP kit, the other from UK, don't remember where I found it, a different design, looks simpler and works the same, a brass tube with a rubber seal covered outside ...

I got them by their description... And this time when I removed the breech and the TPs, I found that the bottle neck is on the valve as it's venting hole the same size of the stock TP.... Then I was thinking if we just make the TP a little bit large size, actually how much can it help in the air flow?! Anyone tried to put it on a chrony for a before and after comparison?

Best to get a chrony. Then these constant will I go over the limit threads.

Temp, elevation etc many factors in FPS.

That's for sure ~

However any kind of the experiment or study in air guns are related to a chrony, and takes time. I am sure I like to do these and I will do so in the future, I am not using it to make my living right now and too busy for that at the moment...

So, sorry about that and thanks about that too that I can borrow some idea from the guys here did so before, if any, or interesting to do so right now ~

If you do any tuning or parts swapping. You need a chrony in order to stay within the law. You can guess all you want. But in the end, every gun is different.

Even if you don't use them every day, Its a great tool to have. 100$ isn't much, but court fines are more.

I wouldn't mod a airgun w/o knowing how fast it shoots. Because ignorance isn't a excuse of the law.

I could send you my chrony for a few weeks, since I don't need it. Its got 18mm of plexi so I'm not worried about you shooting it.

I have done many fps experiments with the 1377/1322..opening the port WILL increase fps.If you have a gun shooting around 425 stock...like some do....you can get away with certain mods and bring it up to 490...and as others have said " A chrony is very important for tinkers and tuners....Some mods will definitely put you over.... some will get you close to max....there's no way of knowing without a chrony....I can't live with a non pal rifle or pistol shooting 50 fps beneath what's aloud...can't do it....lol... :D

Thanks leadslinger ~

It's a good idea even just for having an idea but not for a detailed tuning...

I didn't made any power mods to my Classics, no flat top valve, no others, only a bigger TP for the internal stuff... and even the spring was cut.

I am planning to have my HW30 and retire the pumper from the every day shooter list, so I was swapping things from the 1322 to the 2240, like the scope, barrel etc... and do some cleaning jobs by the way.

And these days we have posts talking about transfer port, so I checked it out again as I think at the time I put it on I had much less knowledge about air guns and I hope to find something new in this process....
