Nope. Sometimes there is not a app for that. You need the old fashion method.

How are you getting a numbers without a Chrony?

If your planning on modifying any airgun. Consider a chrony a investment, and key tool in doing so.

You can find them used for under 100$ which isn't that much considering some will spend that a month on pellets.

lol~ that's interesting ~

I laughed while I read the guy got a result of 1194fps from his P17 ~

And I like the pop can test for every 100fps can get through one pop can! I will try this later as it's interesting ~

And while using the Soft-Chrony, be careful don't miss shoot your laptop ~ that worth several real chrony~

Cheers!

Beware then! Sorry had no idea....if he is like that it's a shame.

Maybe he decided to keep it I dont know. It took me a long time till I caved and bought the f1 and just recently bought the new chrony lights, I can use them with my drapes closed and no light. Yes very expensive.. all of it lol

What he said x495! Cost of a chrony is very small and its value is very large.

I had one just like that and it worked super. Works indoor with no lights needed. Only thing it doesn't work well with co2 guns and I ended up blasting mine trying to get far enough back to avoid the co2 gas messing up the reading, and got called to come upstairs as I was going to shoot, lol and knocked my aim off and that was it. But it lasted me these last couple years til now.

Ausername,

How about Chrono Connect Mobile. http://chronoconnect.com/mobile.html
Described as created for airguns.

You need to know pellet and distance details. Pro version has a pellet database.

Seems to work by measuring the pellet travel over a known distance - muzzle sound to impact sound.

Mixed reviews in the comments and other forums.

Doesn't work too well with a padded (quiet) pellet trap, however.

Your mileage may vary. Might be worth a try.

Cheers!

I wouldnt think that would work. Too many factors. Like echoing, lint in microphone, Sound distortion.

Didnt people try chrony apps and getting way incorrect results?

Really want to trust an app for keeping you out of legal issues if your trying to stay sub 500 fps?

I started with that app. Velocity kept changing depending where I was. Inside was different than outside, etc totally unpredictable even when measuring carefully. Too many echoes etc to mess things up,and only works reliably if you calibrate with an actual chronograph then keep all factors the same each time you use it.
