I’m considering a pistol scope for my HW44. I’ve never used a pistol scope before but I feel this pistol is deserving of one.
Can anyone recommend a good one that’s available to us in Canada suitable for an air pistol?

Anywhere up to a few hundred dollars is fine, more if it gets me something extra special.

You would probably want something with short parallax correction for about 7 yrs or so.
Wes has a 2 X pistol scope on his store site- I think it's a bsa.
Other than that not much to suggest. Might search cgn for a used Bushnell Phantom...

Your budget just too high ~ :)

I don't know what other high end pistol scope but I like my stock Beeman / HW scope comes with my P3. Very easy to use and clear picture. The only down side to me is added some weight to the gun...

I’ve looked at that one.. decent scope but parallax is set at 50 yds. I’m assuming it’s intended for powderburner pistols. It may work though, maybe just not a perfect fit?

I'm sort of out of my element with pistol scopes.
Was trying an old b+l marked rim fire rifle scope last night. It's parallax is set for 50 yds and I had trouble with it at 13 paces.

Beeman at one time offered a blue ribbon long eye relief scope with a/o that was springer rated. Bob Bell of the old gun digest thought highly of them...

I was getting good groups at 7 yards with the BSA pistol scope and didn't notice a parallax problem so I kinfmd of wonder at that 50 yard setting. I should get both pistol scopes out and have a shooting competition with my pcp Chaser in Pistol mode.

You Must make sure that You select a Scope Specifically designed for a Handgun!
Sure, some use just about any old rifle scope, and say it works, especially when it's someone
trying to sell You Their Rife scope.
Pistol scopes are generally lower power, but what do You Need for 30-50 feet?
What is most important is that the scope is designed for "Long Eye Relief", that is what to look for
in the Scope Specifications specifications, greater than 6 inches.
These scopes are usually somewhat shorter in design and usually built quite solidly
to withstand a pistol's high recoil.
Make sure the scope comes with mounts that are compatible with Your gun, or purchase any needed adapters.
Check out D&L.

Details? Or have I missed reading something?

As to the rifle scope I was trying, it was on a rifle. Hope this clarifies things a bit. :?

Yep~ shooting a pistol, you will hold the gun with your arm straight forward, so your aiming eye will have much longer distance to the scope. Which while you shooting a rifle, you lay your face on the stock and your eye just so close to the scope...

You can try to use the reverse way to see through your scope lens and you will know the difference...

I don't think I ever seen a lower than 50M parallelex pistol scope.

You won't find one more then 7x. At 7x, Its like looking thru a straw. Your FOV is very narrow.

Lol, sorry it's my cp1 pcp dressed up in Chaser clothes =). The Chaser tube can't be pressurized because of the peek hole in the tube. =)
This gun is really not set up for pistol mode, but for the purpose of testing the pistol scopes should work temporarily =). A little front heavy for a pistol! Image

Think I may give one of these a try Wes. As stated, many seem to advertise 100 yd parallax so 50 (or less maybe) for this one is probably about as good as it gets.
