Inversion?.... WTF are you talking about?.... Roughly 2/3rd the length of pellet path means 2/3rds the time taken between sensor triggering.... That would change 720 fps into 1080 fps.... Gee, I got 1180.... I guess I was a bit more than 9" above the sensors.... :roll:

I use a low diffuser set up on my chronograph and can not detect a difference in velocity between daylight and incandescent light.

I think the chronograph manufacturers may have some idea of what they are talking about. I have yet to see this phenomenon addressed in any chronograph manual. If this is real as claimed the manufacturers would have spoken up by now.

I'm not about to start isolating diffusers and taping them up. I have better things to do with my time.

My readings have always been a lot below the air gun makers claims.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P
