Prices range from the thousands to the hundreds, your precision on the other hand defines it's true ability. Never underestimate the susposed dog in the room, the shooter makes the difference between a good or a bad dog. For the beginner buy what you can afford and practice, test different pellets and practice some more. Enjoy the experience of hitting the target thousands of times, every pull is the same as the first. Take everything with a grain of salt, a light pull and bang and life goes on. Practice and patience on the other hand ends being an old man's sport. The choice of rifles may be large the experience of the trigger will always be the same, enjoy the present and never underestimate repetition. Keep shooting and you will always have a smile .

I have had [presently still have one] a couple bad dogs that can not hit a golf ball consistently at ten meters. They become no fun at all in a very short period of time. If I could not have good shooters I would likely give the sport up. I expect one raged hole at 10 meters. Have 3- $99 Air Hawks that can do it. I have a $39 Grizzly from Princess Auto that can do it. Some take more work than others to be able to do it. CHEERS!

Fine words of wisdom navy! I've been fortunate to be able to own an accurate springer and over the last 5 years, it has tested me beyond words. Patience is key to be able to "consistently" shoot it with accuracy. Even the slightest change in hold can send the pellet off target. If good marksmanship principles are not used, the spring gun will definitely punish you down range on paper. Just found out over the weekend that springers are temperature sensitive and this can bring a whole new element to the fun.

Over the past 40 plus years of shooting I still get a smile with every trigger squeeze. Practice and patience on the other hand will always reflect on the target and the perfect grouping. Keep shooting from multiple positions to get the full experience, enjoy the moment.
