Got my PP700 yesterday , shot a bunch of 14.3 gr jsb over the chrony . Not as consistent as I would have thought. From 420 to 480 fps . Really accurate at 10m ( longest possible in my basement) 5 shot groups withought a rest shooting freehand were all under an inch . Decided to open it up and while I was in there figured I may as well install the .25 cal barrel I was saving . Once together ran some 25 gr kings over the chrony . Pretty slow at 350 fps , adjusted the hammer spring and got it to shoot them at 400 pretty much at coil bind . Looks like I can can get close to the 50 shots as advertised with the .25 cal barrel . I’m pretty happy with this pistol so far . Going to open it up again and see if I can get the regulator to settle in a bit .

Very nice getting that 25 cal mounted
Any pics or tips? That breech thread is pretty small

Sorry to hear about the inconsistent shot string. It'll be interesting to see what you find and how turning up the reg a bit for the .25 caliber changes things. Hopefully the reg settles down. I've found two guns so far the reg didn't seem to work and Snowpeak has been good enough to send replacement regs free of charge.
Looking forward to your results!

Quick question. How loud is it?

I'll have new neighbours in a month, and unsure if they are gun people. They're in for a surprise if they are not.

Like to be a bit considerate since I do gotta live next to them.

I shot one over the weekend and it didn't seem too loud. It's way quieter than a 2240 for example. The one I shot had the folding stock on it. It shouldered very nicely and now I really want one myself.

I didn’t get a chance to take any pics of my “machining “to the barrel . But I did have to make a new threaded adapter for the shroud . The barrel was taken down to .375” until the end of the barrel to .490 “ where it fits in the receiver with an outer grove for an o ring I kept test fitting until the barrel was flush with the Bach of the receiver. The muzzle end was threaded to 3/8” x 24 tpi for the new adapter for the shroud which has a 12mm OD. Hope that all makes sense. I did mount a micro green dot and at the same 10 m it will shoot one ragged hole rested for ten shots .

The barrel is not threaded into the breech. The factory barrel uses an adopter and a flange on the barrel to set the correct depth. If you look ( google search ) the parts list you’ll see what I mean . Pretty clever design .

Fairly consistent anyway. What pellets? How's the consistency above 200bar? That one I tested got a lot of shots that were pretty consistent up above 200.

Here is a diagram of its older brother, the PP700w. Basically the same I think, except for the shroud.
