If you had a choice between an 8 inch barrel over a 6 inch, which would you prefer? I don't know how much difference in accuracy it would make. The 8 inch one has a higher fps, but small. I think the 6 inch looks better, but since I can't see it in person, hard to tell.

Anyhow, I have an order for either a 6 inch or 8 inch pistol - I might just end up getting both :)

From a competitive 10m shooter standpoint, not that I am, a shorter barrel is sometimes the ideal choice because there is less time for the shooter to influence the pellet trajectory once the trigger is pulled. The plus for the longer barrel normally is a better site picture. For casual shooters I would say there isn't a whole lot of difference. To answer the question directly, both barrel lengths are equally as accurate as long as the quality is the same.

I found that my 6 inch DW715 actually has only 3 inch rifled barrel, the outer 3 inches of the barrel actually just a bigger size extension tube... I don't know the 8 inch version will have 2 more inches rifling or 2 more inches tube...

If so, 3 inches rifled barrel vs 5 inches, would it make some difference?

Omg, 3"?!? Do you think that's a CA thing to reduce power? If so then the 8" will also have 3".
Still omg-ing over 3"... Are you sure????

Actually I doubt it's 2.5 inch just as same as the snab nose version....

I happened to notice this while I intended to clean the barrel with a rod... then I noticed the rod just touch something about half way in the barrel... After carefully checked it out, the outer 3 inches of the barrel has a bigger ID than the last 3 inches which connect to the connector ( the seal) and the fake shells....

The other day I found a caliper in work and measured the barrel ( outer part), don't remember how much is it, it's not a .177 caliber barrel.... just an extension tube...

I don't think it's a CA thing as even you gave it a 10 inches rifled barrel, it won't be able to shoot over 500fps...

I doubt it's just a lazy thing to produce only the 2.5inches, the shortest barrel version and add the extension tube to make it a 4/6/8 inches version easier to meet the cosmetic needs from customers....
