I was excited to receive my new .22 Beeman R9 this week but I have a big problem with it. My head does not fit this gun. My cheekbone hits the stock before I can get my eye lined up with the sights. I have a rather large collection of air rifles and I have never experienced this issue before. I had been looking forward to adding the R9 to my collection for a while but it looks like I may have to return this gun or sell it. :(

I have that problem with some of my rifles. The high cheek piece is designed to be at the perfect height with a scope.

I just checked out the return policy for Canada Shooting Supply and it does not look good for returning the gun. They say no returns for firearms. I was waffling between getting the R9 or the Diana 34 deluxe. I already have a few Dianas so I thought it would be good to try a Beeman but now I wish I would have stuck with the Diana. I’m going to give Canada Shooting Supply a call this weekend and see if they will do an exchange.... Might be a brand new R9 .22 coming up in the for sale section.
