Hi can anyone tell me if this chrony is any good and is it ok for BBs and pellets.
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/332758572914?ul ... noapp=true
I tried emailing the seller but he couldn’t help! Just said all info is on the site.
My concern is that it says “Airsoft BB” although it does also say it measures up 2600 FPS so any help would be appreciated.

I see nothing about pellets and a lot of people call airsoft BB's. To me they are plastic round balls. Grandkids call them jewels. They come to trailer and pick hundreds up off the grass and put them in the jar. I say no and a good rule of thumb, if the seller knows nothing about item it is likely good to stay clear. Sounds like they would be great help if you run into a problem. Don't shoot the screen it says and it sits beside a tiny hole to shoot into. CHEERS!

I have both chrony similar to this and F1, reading comes out the same, advantage of this one is small in size, easier to setup and keep, not too sensitive to the light, so no need to worry about proper lighting, reading the result shots list is nice and easy and it list all your shot in one display, great for pcp, has a settings to set the proper pellet weight and size, but need conversion from grams to grain. Disadvantages are, hard to use with CO2 propellant, you have to put a little distance on the muzzle and opening for CO2 not to interfere with the sensor, high probability that you shoot the chronograph, cannot be use for reading speed at the target end. One thing to watch out before you buy is you need to check the settings if it has the ability have multiple size and weight of the pellet or bb, some model will be limited to only airsoft bb weight.

I have two good ones and one is a Chrony - the Beta Model with bench display screen. It's Great.
Does not match the PACT timer I also have, but that has 4' screen spacing bar and tripod that is
more to pack.

The Chrony is easy do that's what gets the most use even before I had an accident with the pact.
I have a diode burnt out on the PACT. Just went to their site and a
brand new one is $169.95 with Infrared screens - looks like a 2" spacing.
This is a wonderful chronograph. Think I need to buy one.
It will cost more to "fix" the old one than to get a brand new one.
The old one, I purchased in 1981 and was $250.00 then. Almost $100.00
cheaper now.

How about this one?
Cheaper, and has a muzzle clamp. Don't know how you would handle the front sights in the clamp, but looks interesting - sort of like a cheap oversized Combro,

That's the one Im looking at getting. I figure just put some protective tape and use the V notch as a resting guide.

Well that's the gamble dealing with China.

Thank you for all of the replies, I really appreciate the input. I will give it a miss and wait to see what 'leadslinger' has to say about the one he is going to try :D

I have bought quite a bit of product directly from china whether ebay or aliexpress and other than a few random quality control issues on bulk small parts all transactions have been good. The cost of return shipping is probably the biggest impact. Time to receive a replacement is a big factor too. I do take the time to read and analyse the sellers feed back. YMMV.

I already have a good chrony but for that price I may buy one just to try.
